About the role of Data Engineer at Knowit

As a Data Engineer at Knowit in Östersund, you will design, develop, and manage data solutions for clients in both the private and public sectors. You will be part of cross-functional teams where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical quality are in focus.

You will often work in environments where Azure, SQL, Python, and Databricks are central components of the solution, and where data-driven decisions, AI, and analytics create tangible business and societal benefits.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing scalable and robust data platforms

• Building and optimizing data pipelines for data collection, transformation, and accessibility

• Working with structured and unstructured data in cloud-based environments, primarily in Azure

• Collaborating with developers, analysts, and architects to create long-term solutions

• Ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability according to best practices

• Code & Script: Python, SQL

• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud

• Data orchestration & ETL: Dagster, DBT, DLT, Docker, DuckDB, Kubernetes

• DevOps: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
